HORUS 2020: The deadline for submitting applications for the Slovenian HORUS 2020 Award for Social Responsibility has been extended!

The call for the Horus 2020 Award has been extended until 28 October 2020, and the awards ceremony will take place on 3 December 2020.

(Maribor, 15 October 2020) At today’s meeting, the expert-organizing committee of the Horus Award decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications for the twelfth call for the Slovenian Award for Social Responsibility – Horus 2020. The change of dates was due to topic Covid-19, as both legal and natural persons has to adapt to the new working conditions in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. Therefore, at the suggestion of some evaluators and potential candidates, the organizer IRDO Institute for the Development of Social Responsibility extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Horus 2020 call from 15 to 28 October 2020.

Through the tender, the partners want to find and reward comprehensive approaches of legal entities and individuals to social responsibility. This year, companies (micro, small, medium, large and social) as well as institutions and other organizations can compete for the HORUS 2020 award. This year, two types of awards for legal entities were announced, namely the Award for Strategic Integrity of a Legal Entity (for the strategic approach of companies, institutions to social responsibility) and the Recognition for a project (for cooperation between the economy, education and youth). Two more tenders for special recognitions have been published, where there is no registration fee: Special award to an individual or organization operating in the context of social responsibility and Special recognition to the journalist(s). The extension of the application deadline applies to all categories of applications.

Candidates for the Horus 2020 award must now submit their applications by 28 October 2020 at the latest. The evaluation will take place in two rounds, and candidates must collect at least 51 % of all possible points to qualify as finalists. The finalists will be announced on October 13, 2020, and the Horus 2020 awards ceremony will take place on December 3, 2020.
